You never know when your interests may change direction, so grasp it, discover it and explore them. Sometimes in life you need to take the time out and follow your interests, you never know where this might lead you.
Having been fascinated by manufacturing processes has led me down a long rabbit hole in automation. There is just something about a machine knowing what to do to assist in manufacturing a product. Automation is rife in today's world, life is busy and we are all scrambling for time. We all need one of those robotic like machines we see hard at work at the manufacturing plant doing what ever it's owner tells him to do without any hesitance. I call these machines a robot buddy.
Having my robot buddy do all the house chores, such as purchasing our groceries, doing our laundry and even making our dinner has surely left me and my other half with more free time to focus on other things that we value more in life. I am just kidding, I do not have a robot buddy but that would have been great wouldn't it? Thing is, us humans do spend a considerable amount of time doing repetitive tasks. Tasks that just seem so overbearing in everyday life, like making that first cup of coffee you so very much enjoy every morning, then dropping your children at school after which you then find yourself driving the same road to the office yet again. These repetitive tasks can make you feel quite like a robot at times. Would not it been great if we were to automate these tasks?
One could see it as an aspect of laziness, like come on how hard can it be to make a cup of coffee in the morning? But in my life, I place a great emphasis on time. Should it take me five minutes to prepare a cup of coffee every morning, that works out to thirty five minutes a week and about 2 hours every month I'd spend on time preparing coffee. What else could I done with this time?
